DNEWS Il Corriere delle Donne del Vino is a monthly supplement to IL CORRIERE VINICOLO, the weekly newsletter published by Unione Italiana Vini.

DNEWS offers a look at the world of wine from a female viewpoint, both in Italy and at international level, focusing on current affairs, wine marketing, news, events and the projects of Le Donne del Vino. A monthly publication from Associazione Nazionale Le Donne del Vino in partnership with Il Corriere Vinicolo.

The first issue of DNEWS was published in July 2018, thanks to the partnership between Associazione Nazionale Le Donne del Vino, its President Donatella Cinelli Colombini and IL CORRIERE VINICOLO, the weekly newsletter published by Unione Italiana Vini.

Our thanks for this project go to UIV President Ernesto Abbona and Editor-in-Chief of the publication Giulio Somma, who invested in the ability of women to tell their stories, offering a new insight into the wine business, based on relationships and networking.

A mini revolution centred on consideration of colleagues as allies rather than competitors, triggering a circularity in line with the far-sighted 4.0 concept.

An 8-page monthly supplement to Il Corriere Vinicolo, full of interviews, features and news from the wine world and the Association.

DNEWS is supported by the journalists who belong to the Association. Regular columns such as “Il giro d’Italia nel bicchiere…e nel piatto” (A tour of Italy in the glass…and on the plate) are edited by restaurateur and sommelier Cinzia Mattioli, journalist and sommelier Camilla Guiggi, and journalist and sommelier Cinzia Tosetti. The lifestyle page is edited by Elena Roppa.  DNEWS goes out to 14,000 opinion makers, winemakers, institutions and consortia, wine stores, buyers, restaurants and journalists.  Le Donne del Vino now have a stronger voice and every member is going to be involved in this important communication project. “A newspaper within a newspaper” says Ernesto Abbona “talking about wine in different way every month…. A universe en rose, as testified by the 900-plus members who talk about Italian wine every day, telling its story and interpreting it with expressions of imagination and intelligent cohesion”.
